About NLD
There are so many amazing Theater Arts groups out there! Truly. In our city alone, we have a variety of wonderfully talented High School Theater Arts programs, as well as community Theater companies. Our Family has been a part of them. But when the dust settled after my oldest graduated from Grissom High School's Theater program, my youngest daughter, having been in several GHS productions as a "little", was saddened to find out that she could not continue with Grissom. Homeschool students would not be allowed.
Several of my close friends suggested that we "fight the district" for a place for our daughter, and a place for others like her, homeschoolers without an option for a full-fledged high school Theater Arts experience.

I didn't want to fight. She was a rising sophomore at the time. Not to mention, my last kid at home.

Enter stage left, my wonderful "life director", Jesus Christ.
With His never ending patience and loving hand , He has led me into a pioneering adventure like none that I have ever experienced! I did not expect to be teaching, directing, and founding a full-fledged, Homeschool Theater Arts program at this stage of my life!! But Jesus has a way of leading us onto the most fulfilling, humbling, and life altering paths, where peace and purpose are found.

That path for Me is New Life Dramatics. Our prayer at NLD, is that everyone who crosses our path, whether seeing a show, attending a class, at a Thespian event, or elsewhere, will be, not just blessed, but truly "seen" and loved. Even in the tiniest of ways.

Continuing His Adventure,
Pamela Russo

Testimonials
"It was amazing! The auditions were great, the team made it feel good and they were very encouraging. The rehearsal were very productive and I have grown not only as a thespian, but as a person, because of the amazing people on the team who have helped me learn more in a few weeks than I ever have. The performance was very fulfilling and at the end I wasn't sad, I was excited that I would be working with all these people in the future."

"It was really amazing how much fellowship came out of tech week!"

"It was very organized, in auditions, I was guided through and encouraged. Throughout rehearsals I didn't feel overwhelmed. During tech week, I had fun where as other tech weeks I've done they were full of nothing but stress. Finally, during the show and strike it was very organized."

"My one word for after our show was PROUD. I wanted to let everyone know that I'm now proud of not only myself, but of all of us. My parents have told me multiple times that we completely blew their expectations away with our Show. It was beyond what they were expecting to see from a school play. WE DID THAT! I also wanted to say that I'm so proud my very first show was with New Life Dramatics."
